Broad Rights Sync License for Film Music
If you want to use specific music for the soundtrack of your movie, you'll need to obtain the rights from the owner with this Broad Rights Synchronization License.
- The music owner or publisher grants the producers a perpetual non-exclusive worldwide right to record, dub and/or synchronize the composition in or as part of the soundtrack for a film production.
- The producers also have the right to perform and exhibit the work wherever the movie is shown in movie theaters throughout North America.
- The license does NOT grant the right to broadcast the film on television, pay per view, satellite, subscription TV or otherwise, except with the consent of the applicable performing rights society.
- License fees are based on a sliding scale according to the number of recording units sold (i.e. CDs, DVDs, videos, etc).
Every film contracts library should have a Broad Rights Synchronization License for music. Download yours today.
