Minnesota Statutory Power of Attorney
Minnesota residents, plan for the future and protect your interests with this Statutory Power of Attorney, in accordance with Chapter 523.24 of the State Statutes.
You decide whether the power of attorney becomes effective immediately or, alternatively, only in the event that you become incapacitated (a
springing power of attorney). At your discretion, you can grant your attorney-in-fact the power to deal with a number of matters on your behalf, including:
- your real estate property,
- banking and financial transactions,
- stocks and bonds,
- personal property,
- insurance,
- gifts and beneficiary transactions,
- fiduciary transactions,
- claims and litigation,
- family maintenance,
- benefits from military service,
- records, reports and statements.
This Power of Attorney does NOT give your attorney the authority to make health care or other medical decisions for you.
This
Minnesota Statutory Power of Attorney template is available in MS Word format, and is easy to fill in and print. No need to buy additional copies - you and your spouse can each prepare a Power of Attorney with this form.
