General Release of Person by Another Person

If you're settling a claim such as an accident claim out of court, be sure to get the other person to sign this General Release form before you pay over any settlement funds.

• The person signing the Release relinquishes any legal claims he/she may have now or in future with respect to the matter being settled.
• The release is given in exchange for a cash payment and/or other valuable consideration.
• This is a generic legal form which is not specific to the laws of any state, province or country.

Don't take a chance that you might be sued in future for something you thought was settled. Download the General Release form and get it signed before you sign that settlement cheque.
