California Revocation of Power of Attorney
Under California law, you must notify your attorney-in-fact in writing that you are revoking his/her authority. You can do that with this Revocation of Power of Attorney form.
- You can revoke your Power of Attorney at any time, so long as you are mentally competent.
- You should give a copy of the signed Revocation form to your attorney-in-fact, and to every third party (such as your bank) who has a copy of the Power of Attorney on file.
- If you don't notify them in writing, neither your attorney-in-fact nor the third party can be held legally liable for relying on the Power of Attorney.
