Lease Termination Agreement

Generally a lease or rental agreement is for a fixed term (e.g., one year or six months) meaning the landlord and tenant are contractually bound for the duration of the lease term. Under certain circumstances both the landlord and tenant may wish to end the lease prior to the expiration of the lease term. In this case it is important that the landlord and tenant enter into a written Lease Termination Agreement. This Lease Termination Agreement will set out in writing the terms the parties agree to in order to terminate the lease.
